Can I leave my alarm activated when my dog
(or cat) is in the house?
Yes. Where pets are present, we fit
pet-tolerant motion sensors that will be
activated by a human being but not by dogs
or cats. |
|
Ø |
Can I leave the alarm on downstairs at
night?
Yes. We can organise your alarm system into
zones, which can be activated independently,
or altogether. |
|
Ø |
Is the alarm still operational if there's a
power cut?
Yes. A stand-by battery takes over, and is
automatically re-charged when power is
restored. |
|
Ø |
Will I be able to see a lot of cables?
We will hide cables wherever it is possible,
which it usually is. We can advise you of
the possibilities for your own installation
when we do the survey, before you make any
commitment. |
|
Ø |
Will I get any money off my property
insurance?
Yes, if you have a service contract for your
installation with a NACOSS accredited
contractor such as MM Security. |
|
Ø |
Will you take over the servicing of my
existing system?
Yes, if the installation is of the right
quality, or if we carry out any work
necessary to address any quality problems.
See Servicing. |
|
Ø |
Is my system supposed to shut down
automatically after a certain period of
time?
There is a legal requirement that any alarm
must shut down automatically after ringing
for 20 minutes and all our installations
conform to this requirement. |
|
Ø |
How do you provide CCTV coverage for
unlit areas?
Typically, we will install either a
Low-Wattage Metal Halide or Infra-Red
Lighting System. |
